Announcing Spring Events in Midlothian

KCS April - SpringKids’ Crafty Saturday, April 15, 11 a.m. at A.H. Meadows Library, 923 S. 9th Street (inside Midlothian High School) is offered for 1st – 5th graders. Registration required.


Wildflower Nature Walk, Saturday, April 22, 9 to 10:30 a.m., Mockingbird Nature Trail, 1361 Onward Road. Learn about the indigenous plants and wildlife of the Texas prairie at a free, ½-mile nature walk led by a member of the Texas Master Naturalists Indian Trail Chapter of Navarro and Ellis Counties. Comfortable, outdoor clothing, closed-toe shoes, and insect repellent recommended. All ages are welcome but know that the walking surface is unpaved. Walks are cancelled in the event of rain. Midlothian Chamber Wine and Arts Festival, April 29, 2 to 8 p.m.




Midlothian Chamber Wine, Arts, and Craft Beer Festival, Saturday, April 29, 2 to 8 p.m., Downtown Midlothian. Featuring 15 wineries and 12 craft breweries, the festival includes loads of artisans and retail vendors, food trucks, and musical entertainment.  Midlothian Community Development Corporation is the proud platinum sponsor of this year's event.  Admission is free, but a fee is charged for Wine and Beer Tasting. Tickets are on sale now


Comprehensive Plan Update Community Open House, May 1, 6 to 8 p.m., Conference Center What should Midlothian look like in 10 to 20 years? What would you change about Midlothian and what would you preserve or enhance? This is the kind of input the city is seeking to update its Comprehensive Plan.  The Midlothian Comprehensive Plan Update is a year-long process to review the city’s long-range, decision-making guide for the future growth and development.  The Comprehensive Plan will focus on land use, housing, transportation, and economic development.  An in-person Community Open House is set for May 1, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Midlothian Conference Center, One Community Circle Drive.  Input can also be given via an online virtual open house, which is open now.

Concertfest News Flash




Raise the Roof ConcertFest happens Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13 at Midlothian Community Park, 3601 S. 14th Street. Featuring three bands, Le Freak, disco band (May 12, 7 p.m.); XFactoR, ultimate variety dance band (May 13, 5 p.m.), and Dale 305, a tribute to Pit Bull (May 13, 8 p.m.)   The free Raise the Roof ConcertFest has been named in honor of co-presenting sponsors, Centennial Contracting and Roofing and Titan Contractors. Concertgoers should bring blankets and chairs for lawn seating.  Food for purchase will be available from a variety of vendors.  For more information, visit the Special Events webpage.


Hazardous Waste Collection Event May 13, 2023The Fort Worth Crud Cruiser will be onsite, Saturday, May 13, at the Public Works Service Yard from 9 to 11 a.m.to collect and provide safe disposal of household chemical waste (no commercial waste allowed). This event is open to residents living within the city limits of Midlothian and outside city limits. A voucher must be purchased prior to the event for $20 (residents) or $50 (nonresidents) at Midlothian’s Utility Billing Office, 102 W. StoryTots! at A.H. MSTORY TOTS!eadows Library, 923 S. 9th Street (inside Midlothian High School) is held every Wednesday and Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. through May 18th. Wednesday and Thursday sessions provide identical preschool story and craft programs.  Class size is limited to 20 participants.  Registration is required
