[ARCHIVED] Sign Up for MidlothianSafe for Emergency Alerts

Midlothian Safe logoThe City of Midlothian urges citizens to sign up for its new MidlothainSafe Alert system, which will provide notifications in case of weather and other emergencies.  The new system will replace the Code Red system as of Monday, November 28, 2022. Unfortunately, contact information for those receiving Code Red Alerts cannot be automatically moved to the new system, so we are asking you to register for MidlothainSafe today at the link provided. below. 

If you want to receive just text messages to your smart phone and not email messages, you may text your zip code to 38276.


By signing up for MidlothainSafe  you can receive emergency weather alerts from the National Weather Service for our city.  You may also opt in to receive notifications of other incidents that may have significant impacts to residents., such as water utility emergencies, prolonged road closures, citywide garbage collection delays or cancellations, and more.

City of Midlothian is able to send you emergency alerts via text message, email, pager, or voice mail (in extreme cases), based on your preferences. It is important that we collect this contact information in order to know your location and how to contact you.

After you register for MidlothianSafe, visit the website to review your preferences for nonemergency communications and update them as needed at Notify Me.
