Southern Star Christmas Celebration

SSCC logoTo be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 1 to 5 p.m., activities will include outdoor festivities, such as selfies with Santa, a Kids Zone, and an arts 'n' crafts market with merchandise and food vendors.  Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Manna House. Home for the Holidays Parade

The Home for the Holidays thumbnail imagetheme for Midlothian's Annual Light-Up Parade is Home for the Holidays.  To be held on Saturday, December 3rd at 6 p.m., the parade will step off from the 8th Street Bridge, travel south to West Avenue F, and end at Overlook Drive.  Deadline for parade entries is November 28th. Jingle Beats Holiday Concert

Jingle Beats free holiday concert on December 4

A free holiday concert, featuring the Center 313 band, the holiday concert will be held at the Midlothian Community Park amphitheater on Sunday, December 4th from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  Bring chairs and blankets for lawn seating.  The event is sponsored by First Class Productions.




Tree of Angels

Tree of Angels event for victims and families of victimsTo be held on Tuesday, December 6th at 7 p.m., the Tree of Angels Dedication Ceremony provides a place for families and friends to grieve the loss of a loved one due to a violent crime or sudden death. It also provides an opportunity for victims of violent crime to heal. Organized by the Midlothian Police Department, the event will be held at the Shepherd's House Church, 3221 Mockingbird Lane, Midlothian, and is open to anyone in Ellis County.  Participants are invited to bring an “Angel Ornament” to place on the special tree in honor of their loved one.  A reception and refreshments will follow the dedication ceremony at the church. It is asked that those planning to attend, let Chaplain Larry Atchley know by November 29th so arrangements can be made for the correct number of guests.  To RSVP or for questions regarding the Tree of Angels™ Dedication, contact Chaplain Atchley at 972-775-7651 or larry.atchley@midlothian.tx.us. 


Merry Movie Night

Merry Movie Night will feature The Polar Express on Dec. 9, 6:30 p.m., Community Park

A free showing of the family, holiday favorite, "The Polar Express," will happen Friday, December 9th, 6:30 p.m. at Midlothian Community Park amphitheater, 3601 S. 14th Street.  Free Cookout Burger Boxes from In 'N' Out Burger will be provided while supplies last. Bring chairs and blankets for lawn seating.  This event is made possible by our generous sponsor Methodist Midlothian Medical Center.
