[ARCHIVED] City Council to Consider "Sanctuary City for the Unborn" Ordinance

At the Tuesday, September 27, 2022, regular City Council Meeting at 6 p.m., the Midlothian City Council will receive a presentation from an ad hoc advisory committee that was formed by Mayor Richard Reno on April 26, 2022, to review an ordinance outlawing abortion in the City of Midlothian and declaring the City a Sanctuary for the Unborn.  The Committee was charged to complete its review of the proposed ordinance by July 26 and make a presentation of any recommendations to the City Council. At the July 26 meeting, Council voted to extend the deadline to allow the committee more time to review the ordinance. The proposed ordinance is now available at the link provided below. Any citizen that wishes to make a public comment regarding the ordinance, may complete a Citizen Participation Form and submit it by 5 p.m. on the day of the Council Meeting.
