[ARCHIVED] Country Artist Amanda Kate Ferris Headlines Summer Beats Concert

Amanda Kate Ferris will perform at Midlothian Community Park on Aug. 19

Country recording artist and songwriter, Amanda Kate Ferris, will close out this summer’s free concert series this Friday, August 19, 7:30 p.m. at Midlothian Community Park, 3601 S. 14th Street. Presented by Texas Health Hospital in Mansfield, the concert will be opened by another popular, local band, Bailey and the Bad Habits.

A resident of Midlothian, Ferris performs across the country, appearing last Saturday in Chicago.  Last year Ferris competed in “Clash of the Cover Bands” television show, performing Carrie Underwood hits and receiving rave reviews from the judges. Inspired by dynamic female singers including Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Dawn Sears and newest Country Music Hall of Famers, The Judds, Ferris says that she was born into music and country music is her calling. Her first love is Texas country music with a traditional flair and ‘90s country appeal.  Her show promises a mixture of deep, soulful songs and fun, danceable tunes.  To brush up on her music before the concert, visit www.amandakatemusic.com.

Formed in 2020 with influences that span all genres and decades, they have found a sound that borders on the edge of country, blues, and rock.

Attendees should bring chairs and blankets to sit on the grass.  Food for purchase will be available and coolers are allowed.
