[ARCHIVED] City Recognizes Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service

Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service News Flash Image

Since 1994, the U.S. has designated Martin Luther King Day as a national day of volunteer service. The Midlothian community has many organizations that serve the needs of our citizens.  From food pantries to animal rescue groups to organizations that train people with mental and physical challenges and others that mentor our youth, Midlothian is a helping and giving community. In recognition of the King Day of Service, Mayor Richard Reno encourages citizens to get to know their nonprofit organizations and find out how they can help.  A great source of information about our area nonprofits is the United Way of West Ellis County.  Visit their website for more information about some of our helping agencies and ways you can get involved.Martin Luther King Day Proclamation
