MIDLOTHIAN, TX - OCTOBER 14, 2021 - At about 4 p.m. this afternoon a high-power gas line was ruptured by a construction crew in the Park Place neighborhood of Midlothian. This occurred on Mockingbird Lane between Baltic Avenue and Onward Road. Midlothian Fire Department, Street Crews, and Atmos Energy are on scene.
As of 7:10 p.m., Atmos Energy reports the gas line that was ruptured has been capped. The gas in the area is off, but will be restored soon. Atmos says no further hazard exists. Shelter-in-place has been lifted. Residents are safe to resume activities as usual.
