MIDLOTHIAN, TX - OCTOBER 14, 2021 - At about 4 p.m. this afternoon a high-power gas line was ruptured by a construction crew in the Park Place neighborhood of Midlothian. This occurred on Mockingbird Lane between Baltic Avenue and Onward Road. Midlothian Fire Department, Street Crews, and Atmos Energy are on scene. As the gas line is actively releasing, residents in this area should shelter-in-place. All others should avoid this area. There have been no injuries. Atmos Energy will need to excavate the line to in order to cap it. Updates will be provided as soon as they are available.
