Ellis County Appraisal District Assistance
If your property sustained damage during the February 2021 winter storm, you may qualify for a new property tax exemption. A property owner must apply for the temporary exemption and the deadline is 105 days after the governor declares a disaster area. The deadline for filing the application for exemption is May 28, 2021.

U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
The SBA offers disaster assistance in the form of low-interest loans to businesses, nonprofit organizations, homeowners, and renters located in regions affected by declared disasters.
For the Texas Severe Winter Storms of February 2021, deadline for applications for property loans is May 20, 2021, and economic recovery loan applications are due by November 19, 2021.
