Overview


Midlothian is home to many unique civic events and activities. The events are scheduled throughout the year, so the wait is never too long! The various events are sponsored by area businesses, civic groups and the Chamber of Commerce. Fly-In Breakfast at Mid-Way Regional Airport


The Fly-In Breakfast at Mid-Way Regional Airport is an annual event held the 1st Saturday of June from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. The event includes classic airplanes and cars, remote control model flyers, live music and other activities.


Fourth of July Fireworks


Each Fourth of July the Citizen's National Bank sponsors a fireworks show beginning at sundown. Residents are encouraged to watch from the MISD Multi-Purpose Stadium.

Fall Festival - CANCELED FOR 2021

Fall FestivalThe popular Fall Festival is held annually the 3rd Saturday of October. The parking lot of the MISD Multi-Purpose Stadium is filled with over 200 booths with arts and crafts, artists, food vendors and children's activities. The festival also includes the annual Scarecrow Contest and 5K Downhill Dash.




Southern Star Christmas Celebration

The day is filled with live performances, vendor booths, and pictures with Santa all starting at noon. The main event is the community Christmas tree lighting held immediately before the start of the Holiday Light Up Parade.
