The Midlothian Police Department facilitates hiring off-duty police officers for security.

Primary contact is Commander Andy Vaughan, Warrant Service Team and Off-Duty Police Officer Security, Problem Directed Response Team (PDRT).
REQUEST REQUIREMENTS
- There is a four-hour minimum required per engagement.
- Number of officers required: One officer per 150 guests.
STANDARD RATES
$55.00 per hour, per officer when request made at least 10 days in advance of date needed.
$75.00 per hour, per officer when request made less then 10 days, but before 24 hours of date needed.
$100.00 per hour, per officer when request is made less than 24 hours before date needed.
HOLIDAY RATES
$75.00 per hour, per officer based on the City of Midlothian holiday schedule.
SQUAD CAR RATES
If use of an MPD Squad car is requested, an additional $5.00 per hour, per vehicle will be charged separately.
PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS
Officer Payment
Payment to officer(s) is due at the start of the event or assignment unless otherwise authorized.
Squad Car Payment
Squad car payment should be paid by check, made out to the City of Midlothian and mailed or dropped off to the Midlothian Police Department.
