The Support Services Division is led by a Commander and provides internal support to Criminal Investigations, Communications (Northern Ellis Emergency Dispatch) and Police Records.
- Criminal Investigations is the primary investigative arm of the Midlothian Police Department and is comprised of one Sergeant, a Corporal and four investigators.
- Communications (Northern Ellis Emergency Dispatch - NEED) is responsible for the smooth and efficient delivery of emergency services to the citizens of Midlothian, Ovilla, and Red Oak. It is comprised of one Manager and 12 specially trained 911 operators/dispatchers.
- Police Records is responsible for distributing, maintaining, and storing all reports and supplements generated by the department’s different divisions. It is comprised of one administrator and one coordinator.
