COVID-19 Vaccine Information

Everyone 12 years old and older in Texas is now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. The state’s Expert Vaccine Allocation Panel recommended opening vaccination to everyone who falls under the current Food and Drug Administration emergency use authorizations. All vaccines are authorized for people 18 years old and older. The Pfizer vaccine is authorized for people 12 years old and older.

Although Ellis County closed the Vaccination Hub at the Waxahachie Senior Citizen Center on June 4, 2021, as of May 10, vaccine providers are able to order vaccine from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) directly on a daily basis.  Vaccination locations continue to be readily available in the community.  Vaccine locations in and around Midlothian include Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Waxahachie; Methodist Family Health Center, in Cedar Hill; Brookshires Pharmacy, Kroger Pharmacy, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens Pharmacy, Walmart Pharmacy, U.S. Drug Mart, and others.

Use the National Vaccine Finder to locate vaccine providers.
