Overview


The Engineering Department provides assistance and guidance for the development of the City of Midlothian. These responsibilities include:

  • Engineering review of all proposed developments
  • Management and oversight of the water treatment plant
  • Construction oversight for all capital improvements
  • Ensuring all new construction conforms to City regulations and requirements

Mike Adams 

  
Mike Adams began working for the City of Midlothian, Texas in April of 2002 as the Assistant City Engineer and over time, has been promoted to the positions of City Engineer, Director of Engineering, and Executive Director of Engineering and Utilities. Prior to employment by the City of Midlothian, Mike served as the Assistant County Engineer for McLennan County, Texas and also worked in the private consulting engineering sector. Mike graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Mike, his wife Kelli of 25 years and their three children have enjoyed living in Midlothian since 2002.
