Green Living
Overview
Welcome to Green Living in Midlothian.

Living "green" simply means you are aware of the impact you have on the world and you are making changes to reduce that impact.  As you make these positive changes, share them with family and friends and encourage them to change too.  A change can be as simple as utilizing the curbside recycling service or a more challenging option such as adding solar panels to your home.  Remember, even the smallest change can have a great impact.

The Midlothian ISD Middle School Problem Solvers have created the E3 - Eco Education for our Environment website in order to encourage ECO-practices through education and conservation in the school environment so that the youth of today might have a better tomorrow.

Tip of the Week
Beach Picnic
Green your vacation by packing waste-free lunches and snacks. If you want to make your trip to the beach less trashy, pack a picnic basket or bag with foods in reusable containers and water bottles. When you're done for the day, toss it all back in the basket and bring it back home. No need to worry about taking items to the trash or leaving them behind. The critical thing is that all the items get disposed of properly and nothing winds up in the water.  Look for more green vacation tips at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/15/summer-vacation-2012-7-green-tips_n_1599982.html
