| Homemade Household Cleaners |
| Glass Cleaner: Mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with a quart of water in a spray bottle. Add lemon juice for a light scent. Use newspaper for a lint free finish. |

| All-Purpose Cleaner: Combine 1 teaspoon baking soda, 2 teaspoons vinegar, 1/4 teaspoon dishwashing liquid, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 2 cups hot water in a spray bottle and shake well. Add essential oil for fragrance if desired and add 1 teaspoon borax for extra cleaning power. |

Bathroom Cleaner: Mix in a gallon jug 1 pint rubbing alcohol, 1/2 cup ammonia, 1 tablespoon dish washing liquid, 1 tablespoon vinegar then fill with warm water and shake. Removes soap film on shower doors and works great on chrome and bath fixtures.
For tough stains make a paste with peroxide and cream of tartar, spread over the stain and allow to sit for two hours then scrub with a small brush. |

| Wood Polish: Mix 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup olive oil. Rub into wood with a soft cloth. |

| Drain Cleaner: Pour 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup coarse salt and 1 cup vinegar down the drain, allow to foam for a few minutes then flush with hot water. |

| Disinfectant: Mix 1 cup bleach with 1 gallon of water. Keep your work area well ventilated and be careful not to spill on your clothes. |

| Powdered Laundry Detergent: Mix together 12 cups Borax, 8 cups Baking Soda, 8 cups Washing Soda, 8 cups grated bar soap (Fels-Naptha, Ivory, Castile or Zote). Store in a sealed tub. Use 1/8 cup of powder per load. |

| Air Spray: Mix together 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon lemon juice or 3 drops of essential oil of your choice and 2 cups of hot water in a spray bottle. Shake well and use like any other air freshener. |
