National Night Out

Purpose


National Night Out is designed to:
  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
  • Generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized
    and fighting back

2016 National Night Out

Each Neighborhood Watch group, Home Owners Association, Residential group association, business group or apartment community can take part in the NATIONAL NIGHT OUT celebration on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. 

During the day of October 4th, 2016, NATIONAL NIGHT OUT, can be demonstrated by the community in several ways:  each homeowner will have the front porch light on, drive with their motor vehicle headlights on, and/or participate in a NATIONAL NIGHT OUT event in their neighborhood (community). 

 To participate in a NATIONAL NIGHT OUT event in your own neighborhood, business or apartment community you will need to register with the Midlothian Police Department Community Services Officer, Billy Seals.  The Midlothian Police Department will have planning meetings prior to the date of the NATIONAL NIGHT OUT event to assist with the planning and participation in your community.
