Where, When & How


Defendants may pay in person, by mail or online payments are available for some violations. If paying in person please note that the office occasionally closes during the lunch hour.
Payment methods accepted are:
  • Cash
  • MasterCard or VISA
  • Money order payable to the City of Midlothian
  • Online payments

Notice of Alternatives to Full Payment of Fine or Costs

The judgment and sentence for the offense you are charged is the payment of a fine and cost. If ordered to pay a fine and cost, and you cannot pay, notify the court immediately.  If you are determined by the court to have insufficient resources or income to pay, the court is required to provided you other ways to discharge the fine and costs. 

Online Citation Guidelines


Online service cannot be used for the following situations:

You cannot make partial payments
You cannot pay a fine for a person in jail
You cannot pay dismissal fees
You cannot pay any alternative sentencing such as a driving safety course, or deferred.
You cannot pay violations issued to juveniles or minors

Please be aware that paying your ticket online counts as a plea of no contest. Paying a traffic fine will result in a conviction being entered on your record.

 


A small processing fee may be applied when making a payment online.


 

NOTICE:

Warrants paid online will not be processed until the next Business Day, you are at risk of arrest until your payment is processed.

If you are unable to pay via the online service, you MUST either mail your payment (money orders only) OR pay in PERSON using M/C, Visa, cash, or money order. Money order must be made payable to City of Midlothian. Phone payments are not allowed.
